Evaluation, question 3

What have you learned from your audience feedback?

Feedback along the way:

Along the way we gained feedback for the music video verbally:

  • The text message scene was initially meant to be shot in a separate shot where we see the mobile phone in the girls hand, however after feedback saying that this would not flow and you wouldn't see the message clearly, we decided to make the message pop up as text and an iMessage template in the same shot.
  • This scene however was described as too fast, as the text message appeared before the actress picked up the phone, thus we moved the entrance of the message a few frames to appear once she picks up the phone.
  • Additionally, the scene in the arcade where the couple plays with the game with guns was said to look very staged, so we used a different part of that footage of which the acting was better.
For the ancillary tasks we gained feedback electronically using iMessage:

  • Inside-

  • Back

From the audience feedback along the way, we learnt that it is important to gain the feedback as we were in the process of completing, this makes it easier to change anything, one at a time, that needs to be changed as we are completing, rather than change everything that needs to be changed all at the same time, after completing.

Final Feedback

We did gain feedback of the video after it had been exported to see how the audience reacted and what their opinions were:

From this, we have learnt that

  • We should have made our story a bit more clearer, for example we should've shot Kathlene and Reece in a shot together to highlight that they are the couple who are cheating on one another.
